Gabriel M. Garcia, PharmD

Dr. Gabriel M. Garcia, PharmD, is a Clinical Innovations Specialist and has worked with the Rhodes Group since 2022. As a pharmacist he designs, manages, and interprets laboratory and epidemiological  data using targeted interventions for clients. His goal is to improve healthcare for patients and members using real time and actionable data. When designing targeted interventions, he focuses on using longitudinal clinical laboratory results that help providers identify patient conditions, gaps in care and risk factors. His areas  of focus include chronic kidney disease, transitions of care, infectious disease, anticoagulation, and critical care.

 

Dr. Garcia earned two Bachelor of Science degrees from the University of New Mexico (UNM); first degree in Biochemistry in 2013 and the second degree in Pharmaceutical Sciences from the College of Pharmacy in 2018. He received his Doctor of Pharmacy from UNM College of Pharmacy in 2019 and he is currently working on his Master of Public Health – Epidemiology Concentration at UNM. Prior to the Rhodes Group, he was a clinical pharmacist for Sandoval Regional Medical Center working in critical care and internal medicine. Before that, he was a Registered Pharmacist UNM Hospitals. Prior to his work in pharmacy, Dr. Garica worked at UNM/Sandia National Laboratories in microbiology and chemical engineering to create liposomal mesoporous silica nanoparticles and other projects involving innovative methods utilizing bacteriophages to control infectious diseases.

 

Dr. Garcia enjoys cycling, camping, and attending local venues throughout Albuquerque.
